Questions
Which format does my machine use?
| Format | Machines |
|---|---|
| PES | Brother and Baby Lock home machines |
| DST | Tajima and most commercial multi-needle machines |
| JEF | Janome and Elna |
| EXP | Bernina and Melco |
| VP3 | Pfaff and newer Husqvarna Viking machines |
| XXX | Singer |
| PEC | Older Brother machines |
| U01 | Barudan |
Is it free?
Yes. There's no sign-up, no limit on files and no watermark.
Are my files uploaded anywhere?
No. Everything runs in your browser, so your design never leaves your computer.
Why did my thread colors change after converting to DST?
Those formats don't store thread colors, so your machine uses its defaults. Use the color list shown here.
Can I turn a JPG or PNG into an embroidery file?
No. That's called digitizing and needs digitizing software.
Which files can it open?
PES, PEC, DST, DSB, DSZ, JEF, JPX, EXP, VP3, HUS, SEW, XXX, KSM, PCS, PCD, PCQ, PCM, SHV, U01, 10O, 100, BRO, DAT, EMD, EXY, FXY, GT, INB, TBF, TAP, SPX, STX, PHB, PHC, NEW, MAX, MIT, STC, ZHS, ZXY, PMV, EDR, COL and INF.
Will the converted design stitch exactly the same?
Stitches, size and color changes carry over. Some extras, like thread brands, may not.
